New Deck Rules...

posted Jun 7, 2013, 4:29 PM by RSST Swim Team
For safety reasons we are asking that all swimmers 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent or adult if they are outside the pool area in the hallway.  They should use the bathrooms in the locker rooms, so the only reason they need to be in the hall is if they are going to the concession or sitting with their parent.  I will have someone seated at the doors to monitor this.  If you have questions or concerns, please see me.

For this, the double doors to the hall must be kept clear of spectators.  Please find a seat in the bleachers.  I really appreciate everyone's cooperation on this.  Also, we are allowing only swimmers, coaches, and helpers on the pool deck during a meet.  Benches are labeled for our visitors and 11/12 and 13 up swimmers.  10 and under will be on the floor in their designated area.  Swimmers have also been informed they are not to sit, stand or lean on the blue areas of the pool.  We had debris in the pool during a race on Saturday and 2 kids nearly fell in, therefore I will be enforcing this with a warning followed by sitting on the bench.  Please understand we are not making these changes to be mean in anyway.  Safety of our swimmers is of the utmost importance to the RSST board and coaches.  With over 150 swimmers, we must have rules and the have to be enforced.  Again, I appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
